Mir Raza Ali

The body of late entrepreneur Mir Raza Ali was exhumed on Saturday after he was found dead in Karachi under unknown circumstances.

Now, after the second post-mortem of his body, it has been revealed that he was shot from behind, and marks of torture are also present on his body, according to reports.

Earlier, it was reported that Raza was shot in the chest. Later, his family appealed to the court for his son’s body exhumation after loopholes in the medico-legal report emerged.

After the court’s approval, Lawyer Jibran Nasir shared the court decision. He wrote: This has been made possible with help of youth of Karachi & their online and on ground support, journalists & media which highlighted pertinent questions & grievances of family & prompt action by Learned Judicial Magistrate who directed Sec Health to address objection of family. We hope that the process will now be concluded without causing any further confusion, pressures and harassment for the family of Mir Raza.”

All members of the restored medical board were present at the cemetery, along with Mir Raza’s family members and his lawyer, Jibran Nasir. A heavy police contingent was deployed at the site, while strict security arrangements were put in place.

His father hoped that things that happened in the first post-mortem wouldn’t happen again.

Raza was the owner of Wafflix, who went missing in July, but he was found soon in the city with gunshot wounds.

The family was convinced that he had been killed, but the authorities were accused of hiding the facts. Initial police and medical reports pointed toward suicide or a single gunshot wound.

Mir Raza Ali was only 25 years old and was the only son of his parents and had graduated from IBA in 2024.
