Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has directed the airport immigration team not to allow passengers to travel if they are carrying incomplete or unverified travel documents.
According to details, Mohsin Naqvi visited Jinnah International Airport in Karachi, where he inspected immigration counters and reviewed the immigration process for passengers travelling abroad.
The interior minister also met passengers at the airport and inquired about the immigration procedure and facilities available to them.
Naqvi checked the travel documents of some passengers and had them verified by Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) officials.
Expressing satisfaction with the arrangements made by the immigration team, the interior minister said the deployment of additional staff at immigration counters had helped eliminate long queues for passengers.
Mohsin Naqvi directed the authorities to provide all possible facilities to passengers during the immigration process. However, he stressed that passengers carrying incomplete or unverified travel documents must not be allowed to travel under any circumstances.
The federal interior minister also specifically praised the performance of Deputy Director Airport Immigration Shehzad Akbar.
