Pakistan Cricket Board

Karachi: Pakistan Cricket Board Chairman Mohsin Naqvi said on Tuesday that Pakistan remains firm on its position regarding India, stressing that all matters must be handled on an equal footing. Speaking to the media, Naqvi said Pakistan’s approach would be based on parity, underscoring consistency in the board’s stance.

Meanwhile, Naqvi outlined ambitious plans to improve cricket infrastructure across the country. He said authorities aim to build a stadium in Karachi that would surpass facilities in Lahore, adding that once proper grounds are developed, Karachi residents would actively return to stadiums to watch matches.

In addition, Naqvi said the PCB plans to organise tournaments in Hyderabad as part of efforts to broaden the game’s reach. He added that inter-school tournaments are designed to identify and nurture emerging talent at an early stage.

Naqvi said renovation work at Karachi’s National Stadium will begin after the conclusion of the Pakistan Super League. Looking ahead, he said the board is also working to secure hosting rights for the Women’s World Cup, describing it as a key objective for Pakistan cricket.
