WANA: Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi visited Cadet College Wana in South Waziristan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa today. He was received by IG Frontier Corps KP South, Major General Mehr Omar Khan.
During the visit, Naqvi met the officers and soldiers of the Pakistan Army and FC who successfully foiled a recent terrorist attack on the college and safely rescued all cadets and teachers. The minister praised their courage, professionalism, and commitment to duty.
In his remarks, Mohsin Naqvi said, “These are not terrorists but beasts who have no link with humanity. No religion allows harming children, and calling them humans is an insult to humanity.”
He added that the enemy wanted to carry out an attack similar to the Army Public School tragedy, but our brave soldiers thwarted their plans with their blood. The officers and soldiers who ensured the safe rescue of all students and teachers are true heroes of the nation.
The interior minister also announced immediate steps for the renovation and restoration of the college. According to the Interior Ministry, specific funds will be allocated to improve the college’s infrastructure and security measures.
