Mufti Abdul Qavi claims he was married to Kareena Kapoor Khan

Web desk: Mufti Abdul Qavi has sparked fresh controversy after claiming that he was once in a nikah with Bollywood star Kareena Kapoor.

During a podcast, when Mufti Abdul Qavi referred to Kareena Kapoor as “hamari Kareena Kapoor,” the host asked him how Kareena is his.

To this question, he ‘revealed’ that this is because she was also Pakistan’s daughter-in-law. He claimed that she had been his wife.

In his latest remarks, he also asserted that Hindus possess a holy book called Veer. He argued that this makes marriage between Muslims and Hindus permissible in Islam since it makes the “ehl e kitaab”.

He went on to suggest that his alleged nikah with Kareena took place in 1982. This claim becomes even more shocking when we realise that the actress was born in 1980.

Kareena Kapoor Khan, one of Bollywood’s biggest names, comes from the renowned Kapoor family. She has spent over two decades in the film industry.

She is currently married to actor Saif Ali Khan, and the two are widely regarded as a power couple in Indian cinema.
