Prominent religious scholar Mufti Abdul Qayyum Khan Hazaarvi passes away

Pakistan’s prominent religious scholar, Mufti Abdul Qayyum Khan Hazarvi, has passed away, leaving behind a legacy of scholarly contributions to Islamic education and jurisprudence.

Mufti Abdul Qayyum Khan Hazarvi served as the head of the Darul Ifta at Minhaj-ul-Quran International and was widely recognised as a distinguished teacher of Islamic sciences and Fiqh (Islamic jurisprudence).

He dedicated nearly 38 years to teaching at the College of Sharia and Islamic Sciences, where he played a significant role in educating and mentoring generations of students.

According to the organisation, his funeral prayers will be offered after Maghrib at the Central Secretariat of Minhaj-ul-Quran. The funeral prayer will be led by Professor Dr. Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, Chairman of the Supreme Council.

Expressing profound sorrow over his passing, Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri paid tribute to the late scholar, describing him as an eminent expert in Islamic jurisprudence and a highly respected religious figure known for his integrity, knowledge and dedication to the service of Islam.

His death has been widely mourned by students, scholars and followers across the country.
