PSL today: Sultans clash with Qalandars

Multan Sultans Lahore Qalandars

Today in PSL 11 Multan Sultans and Lahore Qalandars clash with each other. Both of these teams are well balanced and can deliver match-winning performances.

Hence the encounter will be difficult to predict.

Lahore Qalandars although will have the advantage of playing at home. However, they are facing a significant setback due to Fakhar Zaman’s absence. He has been suspended for two matches.

The biggest challenge that Lahore is facing is finding the right combination for opening after Fakhar’s suspension. Fakhar Zaman was able to set the tone of the match early with his aggressive batting style. Replacing him will not be that easy.

Other top-order options including players like Abdullah Shafique will need to provide stability and have to step up. They will have to show powerful intent in the power play.

While facing concerns in the batting department, Lahore will have to focus on its bowling. It already has one of the most dangerous bowling attacks in the tournament.

Multan Sultans on the other hand have secured consecutive wins and will be coming into the match full of confidence.

They have a very adaptable and solid batting lineup. They have solid players such as Sahibzada Farhan and Steve Smith. They will be anchoring the innings and accelerate it when needed.

Multan will have the edge due to their flexibility, they will be able to post a challenging total if they get the chance to bat first.

But Multan will have to overly depend on their batting and their bowling does not carry the same star power.

Experienced names like Peter Siddle and Mohammad Wasim Jr will have to lead the effort, while all-rounders will play a key role in maintaining balance and controlling the middle overs.

For Lahore, captain Shaheen Shah Afridi will be under pressure to deliver after the team’s recent defeat to Karachi Kings.

Alongside him, Haris Rauf brings pace and aggression, while Sikandar Raza and Mustafizur Rahman add experience and variety to the attack.

With both teams eager to assert dominance, fans can expect a thrilling and closely contested game.
