Provisional, unofficial results from 141 polling stations in NA-18 Haripur have been received.
According to the latest tally:
- PML-N’s Babar Nawaz leads with 44,680 votes
- Shehernaz Umar Ayub follows with 41,814 votes

NA-18 Haripur: unofficial results from 100 polling stations announced
According to the early provisional results, the count from 100 polling stations in NA-18 Haripur has been received.
The provisional tally shows:
- PML-N’s Babar Nawaz leading with 27,522 votes
- Shehernaz Ayub, wife of Umar Ayub, in second place with 23,847 votes
A close contest is underway in the constituency, and the situation will become clear once the final results are announced.
NA-18 Haripur: unofficial results from fifty polling stations announced
Provisional results from 50 polling stations in NA-18 Haripur have been released.
According to the early count:
- PML-N candidate Babar Nawaz is leading with 19,138 votes
- Independent candidate Shehernaz Ayub is in second place with 16,498 votes

Key Facts on NA-18 Haripur by-election
Polling took place today in NA-18 Haripur, where 753,944 registered voters were eligible to elect a new member of the National Assembly.
The constituency includes the tehsils of Haripur, Ghazi, and Khanpur, making it the largest NA seat in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the third largest in Pakistan.
The by-election was called after the disqualification of Omar Ayub Khan, who won GE-2024 with 54% of the vote. He was disqualified under Article 63(1)(h) following a court conviction related to the May 9, 2023 protests.
According to the Final List of Contesting Candidates, nine candidates are in the race. Key contenders include Shehrnaz Omar Ayub, running as an independent, and PML-N’s Babar Nawaz, a recurrent candidate for this seat. Other candidates represent PPPP, HQMP, PNP, along with several independents.
