Web desk: Nadeem Afzal Chan, while speaking in a talk show on Hum News, claimed that Sohail Afridi will not be appointed as the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
While speaking on Faisla Aap Ka with Asma Shirazi, he claimed another name is expected to be finalised and announced by tomorrow.
Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader Nadeem Afzal Chan has claimed that, according to his information, Sohail Afridi will not become the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, while it will be decided by tomorrow who will be the new Chief Minister.
In response to a question, he said that it is also possible that the PTI itself may change Sohail Afridi’s name and come up with a new name.
Speaking on the private TV program, Nadeem Afzal Chan said that the opposition will also come up with its candidate, and some surprises may come out.
He said that the next two days are very important for the politics of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Barrister Gohar confirms: Ali Amin Gandapur to resign as KP CM
Previously, Barrister Gohar, while addressing the media, confirmed that PTI founder has directed Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur to resign from his post.
He said Gandapur will submit his resignation to the Governor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa tomorrow, as per the party’s instructions.
Gohar clarified that he is not authorised to accept the resignation himself and that the legal procedure requires it to be sent to the Governor.
“I am not authorised to take a resignation from Ali Amin Gandapur,” said PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar.
He confirmed that Gandapur has already left Islamabad for Peshawar to complete the process.
The PTI Chairman dismissed reports of any forward bloc within the party, stressing that all 91 PTI assembly members remain united and the party’s two-thirds majority in the KP Assembly is intact.
He revealed that the change in government has begun from the Chief Minister’s office and that Sohail Afridi will be PTI’s nominee for the position.
Gohar praised Gandapur’s role and services to the party, acknowledging his important contributions as Chief Minister.
