After the Eid holidays, the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has announced new office hours for its offices throughout the country.
According to official notification, NADRA Registration Centres, which are functioning five days a week (single shift), will continue to function from Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
Centres that are operating six days a week (single shift) will be open from Monday to Thursday and Saturday from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM and on Friday from 8:00 AM to 12:30 PM.
For the double-shift offices in NADRA, one of the shifts would be 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM and the other would be worked between 3:00 PM to 10:00 PM from Monday to Friday and on Saturday, wherever applicable.
Meanwhile, NADRA Mega Centers which work for seven days a week will work in three shifts; First shift: 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Second shift: 4:00 PM to 12 midnight hours and Third shift: 12 midnight hours to 8:00 AM.
A break for Jummah prayers will be observed on Fridays from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Mega Centres.
In a related development, the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has warned the people whose Computerised National Identity Cards (CNICs) have expired.
As NADRA is the only authority to issue legal identity documents for Pakistanis within the country and overseas, NADRA has requested such persons to take necessary immediate action.
According to an official statement, the citizens with expired CNICs should also get them renewed without any delay and on the other hand, those having B-Forms should convert them into CNICs without any delay.
The authority has also advised the parents who have not yet registered their children to get B-Forms filled for them at the earliest.
