NADRA introduces online marriage registration through Pak-ID

The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has introduced an important facility for citizens, under which marriage registration at the Union Council can now be done from home through Pak Identity (Pak-ID).

This initiative will help to save the public from visiting offices and to make the marriage registration process easier than it was before.

Online marriage registration in Punjab

According to NADRA, this online facility is currently available in all districts of Punjab.

Online marriage registration in Sindh

In Sindh, it is available in Karachi East, Karachi Central, Naushahro Feroze, Mirpurkhas, Shaheed Benazirabad, Larkana, Jamshoro, Tando Allahyar, and Tando Muhammad Khan.

Online marriage registration in Balochistan

In Balochistan, the facility is being provided in the district of Quetta.

NADRA stated that work is underway to roll out this service in other areas.

Additionally, this marriage registration facility through Union Councils will be available in all districts across Pakistan very soon.

The authority has also mentioned that the citizens can watch an awareness video on Pak-ID.

The video will help in the process as it will explain the step-by-step process for registering a marriage online.

Child’s birth registration via NADRA Pak-ID app

NADRA has made the birth registration process much easier with an online facility via its Pak-ID mobile application.

Citizens can now simply register the birth of their children from home by submitting applications to their respective Union Councils.

The facility is available at Karachi East, Karachi Central, Naushahro Feroze, Mirpurkhas, Shaheed Benazirabad, Larkana, Jamshoro, Tando Allahyar, and Tando Muhammad Khan in Sindh.

In Balochistan, the service has been launched in the Quetta district.

Additionally, work is being done to provide this service to all remaining districts in the country.

Steps

Download the Pak-ID app from the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store and log in by creating your account.

From the main dashboard, select “Provincial Civil Registration Services.”

Then select the province and click on the “Birth” option.

Users can either select the existing name of the child or they can enter a new name after selecting their district, tehsil, and UC.

If the child already exists in NADRA’s records, applicants can continue by entering the B-Form or ID number. Otherwise, complete details must be given.

Biometric requirements are different depending on the age of the child.

Children under three are required to give no photograph.

Children between the ages of three and ten years of age are required to supply a live photograph.

Those over ten are required to have a photograph and fingerprints.
