The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has introduced a new visa facility for Pakistanis to help in the prevention of the collection of personal data on fake websites posing as NADRA for Pakistani visas, today.
According to the details, there are many fake websites that operate under the name of NADRA and have been collecting information from people who are looking to get a Pakistani visa in many countries.
To counter this, NADRA has added new updated features to its visa issuance system for 193 countries.
Under this new updated system, foreign applicants will only need their passports to apply online.
How will it work
The people who want to apply will upload their passports, and all the required information will be filled in automatically.
The system will also capture the passport number and expiry date without needing manual entry.
A modern biometric system has also been introduced for all visa categories.
People will now be verified using facial recognition technology. Authorities have warned that some fake websites have been misusing NADRA’s name to collect personal data and carry out online fraud.
