The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has announced a special initiative to make identity-document services more accessible for millions of Pakistanis residing in Saudi Arabia.
Pakistani living outside of their native country will be able to obtain important NADRA services closer to where they live, instead of facing difficulties associated with travelling longer distances for documentation.
This announcement was issued on July 23, 2026 (today). It was mentioned that NADRA’s Mobile Registration Team will visit Saudi Arabia as part of the initiative. The team will work along with the Pakistani Embassy to provide services to the Pakistani community.
The special registration camp will be established at the New Camp of the Pakistan Embassy in Riyadh. The registration camp will operate for two days, July 24 and July 25, covering Friday and Saturday. Services will be available to Pakistani citizens from 8:00am until 4:00pm local time on both days.
Moreover, NADRA said that Pakistani citizens living in Saudi Arabia will be able to apply for the issuance, modification and renewal of identity documents through the mobile registration facility. Pakistanis planning to use the facility should carry the relevant supporting documentation required for their application process.
On the other hand, previously, the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) launched an upgraded version of its Pak ID mobile application, making it easier for citizens to apply for identity cards online.
According to NADRA, the latest Pak ID app introduces a new “See the Card” feature. It allows applicants to preview a digital version of their identity card before submitting their application.
How does the new system work?
Pensioners under the new mechanism would confirm their proof of life status by using the Pak ID mobile application, which is operated by NADRA.
