According to the latest reports, Naseem Shah will not be able to play the remaining matches of the PSL.
The Pindi franchise previously confirmed that he will miss the upcoming matches due to this injury. The team’s medical staff is closely monitoring his recovery.
There is also a chance that the huge contract amount of Rs 8.65 crore will go out of his hands.
Experts say that he may be away from the cricket fields for a long time.
Naseem Shah apologises
Prior to this, the cricketer found himself in a social media controversy, due to which the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) imposed a hefty fine of Rs2 crore on him.
A controversial post was shared from Naseem Shah’s account on X regarding the arrival of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz at Gaddafi Stadium during the opening ceremony of PSL 11.
The post stated, “A recent post from my account was made by my management team and does not reflect my views.”
“I take full responsibility for my platform and have implemented the necessary changes to ensure this does not happen again,” he added further.
“I sincerely apologise to everyone affected by this misuse of my platform,” the tweet concluded.
This is the highest fine ever imposed on a player in the history of Pakistani sports, which has also broken Shoaib Akhtar’s record.
