Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi on Sunday said the entire nation stands firmly with the security forces in the fight against terrorism.
He paid tribute to the Balochistan government, security forces, and law enforcement agencies for carrying out a successful intelligence-based operation against terrorists linked to the Indian-backed Fitna al-Hindustan in Panjgur district of Balochistan.
Kundi said that timely and effective action against Fitna al-Hindustan is crucial to safeguarding national security, adding that the war against terrorism will continue with full force.
He stressed that the state will foil the nefarious designs of anti-national elements at all costs and reiterated that no attempt to undermine peace and stability in Pakistan will be allowed to succeed. The governor also said the sacrifices of security forces will always be acknowledged and honoured.
Earlier, Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Atta Tarar said that covert, intelligence-based operations are ongoing in the Tirah Valley and urged the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government to refrain from making what he termed false claims about the situation on the ground.
