Navy, Rangers, and Police save people’s lives in Gul Plaza incident, says Kamran Tessori

Governor Sindh, Kamran Tessori, said that I was the one who arrived on time after the Gul Plaza incident. He said that he ordered the control of traffic near Gul Plaza, adding that he made the water availability possible for the people.


Kamran Tessori urged Chief Minister Sindh, Murad Ali Shah, to take action against those responsible for this incident. He said MQM did not politicise the incident, though the party knows how to play politics.


Kamran Tessori stated that I called the Pakistan Navy for help. He also mentioned that the Pakistan Navy, Rangers, and police saved the lives of people.

The death toll in the tragic incident at Gul Plaza in Karachi has risen to 80 and 86 are still unaccounted for as the rescue operation continues for the sixth day.

 The scope of the investigation into the Gul Plaza tragedy has been expanded, and the authorities have decided to conduct chemical examination of the samples of the bodies.

According to rescue officials, fourteen people who died have been identified so far, of whom eight could be identified through DNA tests. Rescue teams have completed the post-mortem of forty-eight people so far, and eighty-six people were reported missing in the incident.

Officials say that there are fears that more bodies may be found in the part of the building where the structure collapsed after a severe fire, which is why the search operation was continued until late at night.

Meanwhile, investigations have also been launched to find out the causes of the tragedy. The real cause of the fire and safety arrangements are being reviewed. Rescue agencies, police and other relevant departments present at the scene are keeping a close watch on the situation.
