Easy way to apply for Netherlands visa from Pakistan

Netherlands visa from Pakistan

Pakistani citizens planning to visit the Netherlands but unsure about the visa application process can follow this simple guide to apply for a short-stay Schengen visa.

Known for its scenic landscapes, historic cities and rich cultural heritage, the Netherlands attracts millions of visitors every year. Before travelling, Pakistani nationals must obtain a short-stay Schengen visa.

Applications for a Netherlands visit visa from Pakistan are submitted through the Gerry’s Visa Application Centre. The first step is to book an appointment at the visa application centre, followed by the preparation and submission of the required documents.

Required documents

Applicants are generally required to provide:

  • A passport valid for at least six months
  • A completed visa application form
  • Recent passport-sized photographs that meet Schengen visa requirements
  • Bank statements for the previous six months
  • A bank maintenance certificate

Supporting documents may also include an employment letter or business documents, tax returns, a flight reservation, hotel booking or invitation letter, travel insurance that meets Schengen requirements, a travel itinerary and, where applicable, a Family Registration Certificate (FRC).

Biometrics and document verification

On the day of the appointment, applicants must visit the Gerry’s Visa Application Centre, where their documents will be verified. Biometric data, including fingerprints, will be collected; photographs may be taken if required, and applicants will be required to pay the visa fee along with the applicable service charges.

Visa processing time

Once submitted, the application is forwarded to the Dutch authorities for assessment. In most cases, a decision is made within 15 days, although processing may take longer depending on the circumstances of the application.

Before making a decision, the authorities assess several factors, including the purpose of the visit, the applicant’s financial position, previous travel history, the likelihood of returning to their home country, and the authenticity of the documents submitted.
