Google has introduced its new feature in Google Translate.
Google Translate has introduced a new feature that allows users to practise pronunciation and speaking skills directly within the app.
The update comes as the translation service marks 20 years since its launch.
According to a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, a user named Nick Fox, posted, “One of the toughest things about speaking a new language is getting the nuances of pronunciation just right. Now, you can get instant feedback with “pronunciation practice,” which uses AI to analyze your speech and help you improve.”
Google added this new feature while celebrating its 20th anniversary.
According to the company, the new tool is designed to help users improve how they pronounce words and phrases in different languages.
When users translate a word, sentence or phrase, they can open a new “Practice” section and tap a “Pronounce” option. The feature displays phonetic guidance and allows users to speak the translated text aloud.
The app then analyses the pronunciation and provides feedback on how clearly the words were spoken. Users can also listen to the correct pronunciation through the app.

Google said the feature uses artificial intelligence to review spoken responses and give immediate suggestions for improvement.
At launch, the pronunciation practice feature is available on Android devices in the United States and India. It currently supports English, Spanish and Hindi.
The update adds a language-learning element to Google Translate, making it closer to dedicated learning platforms that focus on speaking practice and pronunciation exercises.
The announcement follows another recent update from Google, which expanded its live headphone translation feature to more countries on Android devices and also introduced the tool for iPhone users.
The company said the broader goal is to make communication across languages easier and more accessible through mobile technology.
The new feature will help resolve language barriers.
