Imran Khan’s eye problems
It should be noted that a report detailing the facilities available to the founder of PTI, who is currently imprisoned in Adiala Jail, has come to light. In the report, Imran Khan has claimed that the vision in his right eye has been reduced to only 15 percent.
According to the report submitted to the Supreme Court, Imran Khan requested that he be examined by his personal physicians, Dr. Faisal Sultan and Dr. Asim Yousuf. He also stated that he could be examined by any specialist doctor. Additionally, he asked that books be provided to him due to his solitary confinement and lack of access to television.
The report further states that Imran Khan said that approximately three to four months ago, around October 2025, his eyesight in both eyes was 6×6 (completely normal).
However, the vision in one eye has now deteriorated to 15 percent. He said he was treated by doctors at PIMS Hospital, after which he began experiencing persistent blurriness and dimness of vision. He claimed that he repeatedly informed the then Superintendent of Jail about these ongoing issues, but no effective measures were taken by jail authorities to address his complaints.
According to the report, he later suddenly lost complete vision in his right eye, after which PIMS ophthalmologist Dr. Muhammad Arif was called in for an examination.
Imran Khan stated that a blood clot had formed in his eye, causing severe damage. Despite treatment, including an injection, the vision in his right eye remains limited to just 15 percent.
