In the 11th edition of the PSL, the names of the two new teams will be Gilgit and Faisalabad.

According to sources, Rawalpindi, Sialkot, Muzaffarabad and Hyderabad have been eliminated from the race for two new franchises.

The PSL management issues with Multan Sultans have not yet been resolved. The Multan Sultans franchise ownership is also likely to go up for bids to find new owners.

Will Multan Sultans Play This Time?

Despite repeated efforts, Ali Tareen, owner of the Multan Sultans, said the PCB has not contacted them.

He added that he tried to reach the PSL management several times over the past month but received no response regarding the team’s valuation and renewal letter.

Tareen also said there was no reply to their legal letter and questioned why Multan is not being included in the valuation process. He warned that if this attitude continues, the team will have no option but to take legal action.

Multan Sultans owner Ali Tareen has publicly expressed his frustration with the Pakistan Super League (PSL) administration, threatening legal action over unanswered emails and letters.

Tareen took to X, saying: “Since the PCB will not communicate with us, here is an update we can share ourselves.”

He added that over the past month, the franchise had sent multiple emails to the PSL management requesting their valuation and renewal letter, which other teams have already received, but received no response.

“No response to our legal letter, no response to our emails, no response to my letter to the Chairman,” Tareen said.

He noted that other franchise representatives have also questioned why Multan is not included in the valuation and renewal process, but the PSL has remained unresponsive.

Tareen warned that if the situation continues, the team will have no choice but to pursue legal action, though he stressed this is a last resort.
