Schools opening tomorrow: new timings announced

Schools across Pakistan are set to reopen on Wednesday, April 1.

The provincial authorities confirmed that regular in person classes will resume after the end of the break due to fuel conservation measures.

New school timings for all provinces

Simultaneously, school timings have also been announced that will take effect from tomorrow.

KP schools

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) has also issued a new timetable for government schools. In primary schools, attendance will start at 7:30 AM, and students will leave at 1:35 PM.

Morning assemblies will include moral training, speeches on different topics, and practical activities.

Students will receive moral education three days a week through speeches and three days through short performances.

School heads have been directed to hold a literary gathering on the last working day of every week.

After this event, the final three periods will be used for staff meetings and completion of registers.

If there is a shortage of teachers or long leave, head teachers and subject specialists will take classes.

District education officers have been instructed to ensure strict implementation of the timetable.

Sindh schools

Senior Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon announced that teaching activities in all educational institutions in Sindh will resume from tomorrow.

Schools, colleges, and universities will reopen for physical classes instead of online learning.

He also said that educational institutions in the province will remain closed for two days each week.

Balochistan schools

In Balochistan, a notification has been issued to reopen all public and private schools from April 1.

Schools in the province had been closed since March 9 under government austerity measures during the ongoing crisis.

According to the latest decision, schools and education department offices will now operate five days a week from Monday to Friday.

Punjab schools

In Punjab, Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat announced that all schools will reopen from April 1.

According to reports, schools will operate from 8:45 AM to 1:30 PM until further notice.

Schools will follow a five day in person schedule to maintain academic continuity during ongoing economic and energy related challenges.

He clarified that institutions will operate five days a week and dismissed social media claims about a shorter schedule as fake.

Islamabad schools

In the federal capital, Islamabad, all private schools and colleges will resume classes from April 1.

The Private Educational Institutions Regulatory Authority has issued a formal notification.

GB schools

The education department in Gilgit Baltistan (GB) has confirmed that all public and private schools will reopen from April 1.

The announcement was made by Education Secretary Usman Ahmed.
