New weather system to bring more rains across country

The Met Office has forecast another western disturbance approaching western Balochistan on the evening of April 5. This system is expected to intensify and persist across the upper regions of the country until April 9.

Under its influence, multiple areas may experience rain, thunderstorms, strong winds, and possible hailstorms. Authorities have advised citizens to stay updated and take necessary precautions as weather conditions develop.

Balochistan

Rain, windstorms, and thunderstorms with isolated heavy rainfall and hailstorms are expected in Chaghi, Dalbandin, Kharan, Quetta, Ziarat, Chaman, Pishin, Qilla Abdullah, Qilla Saifullah, Nushki, Harnai, Zhob, Kalat, Khuzdar, Barkhan, Mastung, Sibi, Kohlu, Naseerabad, and Loralai from the night of 5th April to the morning of 7th April, with occasional gaps. In Panjgur, Turbat, Kech, Awaran, and the Makran Coast (Gwadar, Pasni, Ormara), as well as Lasbela, similar conditions are expected on 6th April.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

Widespread rain, windstorms, and thunderstorms with snowfall over the mountains are expected in Chitral, Dir, Swat, Kalam, Shangla, Buner, Kohistan, Malakand, Battagram, Mansehra, Abbottabad, Balakot, Haripur, Mardan, Nowshera, Peshawar, Kurram, Bajaur, Mohmand, Khyber, Orakzai, Swabi, Charsadda, Kohat, Hangu, Karak, Bannu, Lakki Marwat, Tank, Dera Ismail Khan, and Waziristan from 6th to 9th April, with occasional gaps.
Heavy rainfall and hailstorms are also likely at scattered locations on 7th and 8th April.

Punjab, Islamabad

Widespread rain, windstorms, and thunderstorms with isolated heavy rainfall and hailstorms are expected in Murree, Galliyat, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Attock, Chakwal, Jhelum, Sargodha, Mianwali, Faisalabad, Jhang, Toba Tek Singh, Khushab, Noorpur Thal, Gujrat, Gujranwala, Hafizabad, Mandi Bahauddin, Sialkot, Narowal, Lahore, Pakpattan, Okara, Kasur, and Sahiwal from the evening/night of 6th April to 9th April, with occasional gaps.
Rain, windstorms, and thunderstorms (with isolated hailstorms) are also expected in Dera Ghazi Khan, Rajanpur, Kot Addu, Bahawalpur, Bahawalnagar, Rahim Yar Khan, Bhakkar, Layyah, Multan, and Khanewal on 6th and 7th April. Heavy rainfall and hailstorms are likely in Islamabad, the Pothohar region, and upper districts on 7th and 8th April.

Sindh

Scattered rain, windstorms, and thunderstorms with isolated heavy rainfall and hailstorms) are expected in Sukkur, Kashmore, Ghotki, Jamshoro, Shikarpur, Jacobabad, Larkana, and Qambar Shahdadkot.
Light to moderate rain, windstorms, and thunderstorms with isolated hailstorms are expected in Dadu, Naushahro Feroze, Shaheed Benazirabad, Sanghar, Mirpurkhas, Matiari, Hyderabad, Tando Muhammad Khan, Tando Allahyar, Thatta, Badin, Sujawal, and Karachi on 6th April.

Gilgit-Baltistan and AJK

Moderate rain, windstorms, and thunderstorms (with isolated heavy rainfall and snowfall over the mountains) are expected in Diamir, Astore, Ghizer, Skardu, Hunza, Gilgit, Ghanche, and Shigar from the night of 5th April to 9th April, with occasional gaps.
Widespread rain, windstorms, and thunderstorms with some heavy rainfall and hailstorms are expected in Kashmir (Neelum Valley, Muzaffarabad, Poonch, Hattian, Bagh, Haveli, Sudhanoti, Kotli, Bhimber, and Mirpur) from 6th to 9th April, with occasional gaps.
