Fireworks will only be permitted at locations officially approved by the authorities.

The restriction on double riding will not apply to women, children, senior citizens, journalists, and government officials performing duty.

Authorities have also warned of possible traffic congestion on major roads, especially in areas where people may gather to celebrate.

In Karachi and other parts of Sindh, mobile and motorcycle squads have been deployed on major roads to make sure of public safety.

Sensitive areas will see increased snap checking, mobile patrolling, and motorcycle patrols.

A large number of Rangers personnel will remain on duty across Karachi and interior Sindh to maintain law and order.

Entry and exit points of the city, as well as inter-provincial check posts, are conducting biometric verification of suspicious individuals.
