WASHINGTON: Since the capture of the Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro by the United States (US) military’s Delta Force in operation Absolute Resolve, several conspiracy theories have circulated online.
It can be seen from the photos present on the internet that Nicolas Maduro is undergoing several wardrobe changes before he appeared in the NYC court on January 5.
It is now being claimed by many that the Venezuelan President is receiving luxurious treatment. According to the conspiracy theory, Maduro has signed an agreement which assured his cooperation in exchange for leniency.
In less than 48 hours, Maduro was seen in four different outfits. The outfits included a grey Nike Tech tracksuit, a hoodie, a jacket and after that, standard prison attire.
Amid these speculations, a standard explanation has emerged, according to the Daily Mail.
The clothing of Maduro was changed due to the temperature difference between New York City and Caracas. Maduro’s clothing had to be changed as he started showing signs of hypothermia after reaching the US.
The Venezuelan President, Nicolas Maduro, claims he was a prisoner of war. He was under continuous medical supervision. He also faced persistent coughing and serious respiratory issues due to the chilly weather of NYC.
When the image of Maduro wearing a grey Nike tracksuit came out, it sparked a frenzy, and the item was quickly sold out.
It is not clear yet whether he was wearing that when he was detained, or if it was provided by the US military.
It is interesting to note how the wardrobe of Nicolas Maduro is causing a frenzy and stir on the internet.
Social media users are continuing to debate the unusual sequence of events and every detail surrounding Maduro’s appearance.
