During a recent episode of ‘Good Morning Pakistan’, host Nida Yasir and guest Junaid Khan shared their opposing takes on dealing with social media trolls.
She noted that online criticism rarely focuses on professional performance and instead tends to target a person’s age or physical appearance, such as weight or hair loss.
Nida Yasir suggested that these negative comments often come from “frustrated” individuals (trolls) who use social media to project their own unhappiness onto celebrities.
Junaid Khan, however, took a more detached approach, stating that he doesn’t view social media as a negative force because he simply ignores hateful comments.
He added that if he does see criticism, he tries to stay neutral, noting that the public is sometimes right and that it can be helpful to focus on self-improvement instead of the negativity.
Nida Yasir’s Eid look receives criticism
Recently, Nida Yasir hosted an Eid show alongside popular senior actresses from Pakistani television. Her Eid look included a red silk dress complemented by golden jewelry and her hair styled in a tidy bun using a wig.
Nida further enhanced her appearance with a tikka and a headpiece.
However, Nida Yasir’s choice of wig and her striking Eid look have attracted major public criticism.
