Chairman Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that Pakistan will never compromise on the Indus Water Treaty, adding that the country is ready to fight for the rights of the people, the private media outlet reported on Monday.
He slammed India for using the treaty as a political tool of pressure. While addressing the oath-taking ceremony in Gilgit-Baltistan (GB), PPP Chairman praised the people of GB and declared them the courageous people of the country.
Bilawal Bhutto said that the people of GB hold on to the memory of former Prime Minister Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto.
The former foreign minister also said that the people of GB are courageous as they gained freedom from the Dogra rule by making sacrifices. Bilawal Bhutto concluded that PPP will work and create opportunities for the youth of GB.

Earlier, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari condemned the attack on a Rangers camp in Karachi, saying Pakistan’s recent diplomatic achievements have disturbed those who want to harm the country.
In a statement, Bilawal praised the security forces for quickly responding to the attack and killing the terrorists involved. He also expressed grief over the martyrdom of three security personnel who lost their lives during the exchange of fire.
A spokesperson for Bilawal House said the PPP chairman paid tribute to the fallen personnel and offered his heartfelt condolences to their families.
