Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Faisal Karim Kundi has directed authorities to reduce gas load-shedding in the province, the private media outlet reported on Wednesday.

According to the details, Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) acting Managing Director (MD) Faisal Iqbal, deputy MD Saqib Arbab, and deputy Chief Admin Zia-ul-Islam met with Kundi at Governor House Peshawar today.

During the meeting, the officials briefed Governor KP about the ongoing gas and energy project in the province. Acting MD SNGPL also informed about the challenges the institution is currently facing at the provincial level.
However, Faisal Karim Kundi directed authorities to reduce the load shedding in KP amid the upcoming winter.

He also urged officials to ensure the availability of gas to industrial factories, as it will help create employment for young individuals.

Faisal Karim Kundi further said that practical proposals should be presented to resolve gas-related issues in the province to ensure timely relief for the public. He added that Sui Northern’s gas system has a total supply of 800 million cubic feet per day (MMCFD) across the country, of which 500 MMCFD is produced by the province.
