Federal Information Minister Atta Tarar strongly criticised the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, claiming there was “no such thing as governance” in the province.
In a post on X, he alleged that corruption and misconduct had reached alarming levels while public funds were being used for political purposes. Tarar also questioned the recent expansion of the provincial cabinet, saying ministers and advisers were being appointed without merit.
He argued that governance in the province had failed to improve despite the government being in power for over 12 years. The federal minister further claimed that the affairs of the province had “never been this bad.”
Atta Tarar wrote on X, There is no such thing as governance in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Corruption and misconduct are at their peak. Lavish expenditures are being made, and public money is being spent on politics.
The size of the cabinet has been increased, with no criteria for selecting these ministers and advisors other than sheer incompetence. Will increasing the size of the cabinet improve governance, which hasn’t improved in over 12 years? The affairs of the province have never been this bad.”
