It has been notified by the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) that the prices of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) are raised.
According to the notification, the LPG price has increased by Rs6.37 a kilogram and the new LPG price is Rs226.05 per kg.
The local price of LPG cylinder, according to OGRA, also went up by Rs75.21. Following the augment the new cost of 11.8 kg household tank of LPG has been approved at Rs2,667.40.
The rise in the price will continue to impact the consumers particularly to the households who use LPG to prepare meals.
In a separate development the Petrol price has stood still at the present price, as given the official report. High Speed Diesel has been raised by 11.30.
The new price of HSD is Rs268.38. Notification was made through a press release made by the Petroleum Division.
Previously, the government maintained the price of petrol and high-speed diesel at Rs253.17 per litre and Rs257.08.
The petrol is consumed mainly in the personal transportation sector where it is consumed by small cars, rickshaws, and two-wheelers and this has a direct effect on the income of the middle and lower-middle classes. In the meantime, the transport industry majority uses HSD.
It is considered as an inflationary price and is majorly applied in heavy transport vehicles, trains and agricultural engines like trucks, buses, tractors, tube wells and threshers and more especially contribute to the prices of the vegetables and other eatables.
