The All Sindh Private Schools and Colleges Association has expressed serious reservations over allowing matriculation students to take exams at any examination centre.
According to details, regarding the matriculation examinations starting today in Karachi, the All Sindh Private Schools and Colleges Association has expressed serious concerns while declaring the administrative performance of the matriculation board as “poor and unsatisfactory.”
In a joint statement, the Association’s Chairman Haider Ali and General Secretary Dost Muhammad Danish Baloch alleged that the last-minute “indiscriminate” determination of examination centres and their repeated changes are clear evidence of the board’s mismanagement.
They said that the submission of enrollment and examination forms until April 9 and the board’s software repeatedly stopping work reflect the administration’s failure.
The Association has made a serious allegation that creating small centres and sending more than one thousand students to each is in fact equivalent to facilitating the “cheating mafia and corruption.”
They further stated that allowing any student to take the exam at any preferred centre proves the board’s three months of effort as a futile exercise and a waste of resources.
The Association also raised questions over the competence of the Controller of Examinations, stating that due to the controller’s “inexperience and unfamiliarity with the city,” the examination system has become disorganised, causing millions of students to suffer from mental stress and violating their fundamental right to take exams peacefully.
The All Sindh Private Schools and Colleges Association has demanded from the higher authorities to take immediate notice of these irregularities and to adopt emergency measures to make the examination process transparent.
