Smartphone manufacturers Oppo and OnePlus have announced an upcoming increase in prices for some of their smartphones due to rising costs of key hardware components.
According to a notice published on Oppo’s official online store, the revised prices will take effect from March 16, 2026, following what the company described as a “careful evaluation” of increasing costs related to smartphone parts such as memory and high-speed storage components.
Smartphones price hike
The price adjustment will mainly impact several existing devices in Oppo’s lineup. Models from the Oppo A series and K series are expected to see higher prices in the coming days.
In addition, certain smartphones from OnePlus will also be included in the pricing revision.
However, it stated that not all product categories will be affected. Premium devices in the Find series and Reno series will continue to be sold at their current prices for now. The company also confirmed that the Oppo Pad tablet lineup will remain unaffected by the adjustment.
Why will the price rise?
The company said the decision to revise prices was necessary to maintain product quality and overall user experience as global supply costs continue to increase.
Components such as memory chips and storage modules are among the most expensive parts used in modern smartphones, and their prices often fluctuate depending on global demand and supply conditions.
Industry-wide trend
Oppo’s move reflects a broader trend in the smartphone industry, where manufacturers are adjusting prices in response to rising component costs.
Other major brands, including Vivo and Xiaomi, have also indicated that higher hardware costs could push smartphone prices upward.
Recent examples include a price increase for the Redmi Turbo 5 by Xiaomi’s sub-brand Redmi in China, while Samsung Electronics has raised prices for several Galaxy smartphones in markets such as the United States, India and other regions.
