The National Assembly was informed that more than 3,500 Pakistani nationals have been deported from the United Arab Emirates for allegedly violating social media regulations.
According to details shared in the House, the action was taken during a period of heightened regional tensions, including the Iran–US standoff, when stricter monitoring of online activity was reportedly enforced in the UAE. Authorities said the individuals were found in breach of the country’s laws related to the use of social media and online content.
Officials further informed lawmakers that the deportations were carried out in accordance with local legal procedures. It was also stated that the properties and assets of those deported are being transferred to their legal heirs through proper channels.
The House was told that the measures were part of efforts to maintain public order and ensure compliance with cyber regulations during a sensitive geopolitical situation. Further verification and documentation of the cases is currently underway.

Earlier, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) announced the grace period duration after the expiration of the work visa for overseas.
According to the official notification shared by the Bureau of Emigration and Overseas Employment (BEOE), the UAE provides a time period of 30 days to six months, during which the overseas worker has to obtain a new visa.
In case of failure to obtain a visa from the UAE again, the worker will be obliged to leave the premises of the country.
The reason is that the UAE provides this time period to the workers to make them understand and regularise their legal status.
