Pakistan Clinch Series with 3–0 Victory
In the third and final ODI, Pakistan defeated Sri Lanka by six wickets to complete a clean sweep of the three-match series.
The match, held at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, saw Sri Lanka bat first after Pakistan won the toss.
The visitors managed 211 runs before being bowled out in the 46th over, falling short of the full 50 overs.
Sudheera Samarawickrama top-scored for Sri Lanka with 48 runs, while captain Kusal Mendis contributed 34. Pawan Rathnayake scored 31, Kamil Mishara added 29, and Pathum Nissanka made 24.
Other contributions included Commando Mendis with 10, Mahesh Thakshana and Pramod Madhushan with 7 each, and Jayant Laineage and Jeffrey Vandersay with 4 each.
For Pakistan, Mohammad Wasim Jr. was the pick of the bowlers, taking three wickets. Haris Rauf and Faisal Akram claimed two wickets apiece, while captain Shaheen Shah Afridi and Faheem Ashraf chipped in with one wicket each.
Mohammad Rizwan Marks 100th ODI Appearance
Pakistan wicketkeeper-batter Mohammad Rizwan reached a significant milestone as he played the 100th ODI match of his international career during the third and final One-Day International against Sri Lanka in Rawalpindi.
A special on-field ceremony was held ahead of the match to honour the occasion, with teammates congratulating Rizwan on the achievement.
Speaking at the ceremony, Pakistan’s head coach Mike Hesson praised Rizwan’s energy, commitment and passion for representing the country.
He noted that the milestone reflected Rizwan’s hard work, consistency and unwavering dedication to the game.
During the presentation, fast bowler Naseem Shah handed Rizwan a commemorative cap marking his 100th ODI appearance. Fellow players also extended their best wishes, calling the moment a major highlight of Rizwan’s international career.
The ceremony added to the celebratory atmosphere at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, marking not only a proud moment for the Pakistan team but also an important chapter in Rizwan’s professional journey.
Pakistan Win Toss
Pakistan won the toss and opted to field first against Sri Lanka in the third and final ODI at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.
The hosts currently lead the three-match ODI series 2–0, with the final game set to conclude the contest today.
After the ODIs, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe will compete in a T20I tri-series from November 18 to 29, with fixtures scheduled in Rawalpindi and Lahore.
SL vs Pak 2nd ODI
In the second ODI, Pakistan secured a commanding victory to seal the series. Chasing a target of 289 at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, the home side reached the total in 49 overs with eight wickets in hand.
Babar Azam was the standout performer, hitting an unbeaten century, while Mohammad Rizwan provided solid support with an unbeaten 51.
Fakhar Zaman and Saim Ayub contributed 78 and 33 runs, respectively, before being dismissed.
With the win, Pakistan took an unassailable 2–0 lead in the series.
