PakEV have introduced two of its new bikes in Pakistan.

PakEV has unveiled two new electric motorcycles, the Volt Shark and Volt SharkX, at the Pakistan EV Expo 2026 as the company expands its presence in Pakistan’s growing electric two-wheeler market.

The company said both motorcycles are locally manufactured and designed primarily for daily commuting and affordable urban transport.

According to PakEV, the Volt Shark will be the lower-cost option with an estimated price of Rs270,000, while the higher-spec Volt SharkX is expected to cost around Rs370,000.

PakEV claims the Volt Shark can travel up to 100 kilometres on a full charge, while the Volt SharkX is expected to offer a claimed range of up to 150 kilometres.

The two motorcycles are powered by different battery setups, with the Volt Shark using a 1.9kWh battery pack and the Volt SharkX equipped with a larger 2.9kWh unit.

Both models have a claimed top speed of 100 kilometres per hour.

The company said customers can already place bookings through PakEV outlets, with pre-booking requiring a 50% advance payment. Deliveries are expected to begin within approximately six months.

The launch comes as Pakistan’s electric motorcycle market continues to expand amid rising petrol prices and increasing consumer interest in lower running-cost transport alternatives.

Industry analysts say electric two-wheelers are attracting attention because of their lower operating expenses compared with conventional motorcycles, although concerns remain over charging infrastructure, battery replacement costs and long-term reliability.

Pakistan has recently seen growing activity in the electric mobility sector, with several local and international companies introducing electric motorcycles, scooters and small urban vehicles as the government pushes for wider adoption of cleaner transport technologies.
