Pakistan’s Ambassador to the United States, Rizwan Saeed Sheikh, said on Friday that the country has always played an important role in establishing and maintaining global security. He remarked while speaking to the international media, that the Pakistan and US partnership majorly focuses on promoting global peace and stability.
Pakistan is a sensitive country, and our long-standing ties with the US has always produced positive results, he said. He further added that last year saw a notable improvement in Pakistan-US relations. Rizwan Sheikh also praised the current political leadership of both countries.
Ambassador Sheikh stressed that Pakistan and the US are among the world’s five most populous nations. “Strong and positive ties between our two countries are more important than ever,” he said.
He also spoke about Pakistan’s victory in the May 2025 conflict with India, calling it a historic achievement that boosted the country’s international prestige.
On his personal role, Rizwan Sheikh said he works as an adviser in diplomacy and underlined the importance of media in today’s world. “The media plays a key role in diplomacy, and journalists are partners in this process,” he added.
