Snooker Team World Cup

Pakistan has defeated India in the Snooker Team World Cup.

Pakistan has reached the final with a 3–1 victory against India.

Pakistan’s experienced duo Muhammad Asif and Asjad Iqbal registered a victory over India’s Pankaj Advani and Brijesh Damani in the semi-final of the world cup.

The Pakistani pair produced a disciplined and highly effective display to outclass the Indian duo.

Reigning IBSF world champion Asif then forced Pakistan’s comeback as he handed Damani a gruelling 120-23 thrashing in the second frame, courtesy of a 77-point break.

Pakistan had booked their spot in the semi-final earlier today by outclassing Qatar 3-0 in a one-sided quarter-final.

On the other side of the draw, Hong Kong China secured both semi-final spots. Hong Kong China-1, Chang Yu Kiu and Fung Kwok Wai, defeated Egypt 3-1, with Chang producing a stunning 106-century break. Meanwhile, Hong Kong China-2, Chau Hon Man and Nansen Wan, edged past Malaysia 3-2 in a thrilling encounter. This sets up an all-Hong Kong final clash in the other semi-final.

It is pertinent to mention that Pakistan will face Hong Kong China 2 in the final.
