Pakistan have been crowned champions of the 23rd Asian Team Squash Championship after defeating South Korea 2-0 in the final. Pakistan’s Asim Khan and Noor Zaman delivered winning performances in their respective matches to secure the Asian title for the national team.
Speaking to the media, Asim Khan said the championship victory was just the beginning, expressing his determination to win more international titles for Pakistan. He said he was committed to bringing further laurels to the country through his performances on the international stage.
Pakistan also produced an impressive performance in the semi-finals, defeating Hong Kong. Asim Khan won the opening singles match 3-1 against Hong Kong’s Wong Chi, while Noor Zaman secured another 3-1 victory in the second singles match to book Pakistan’s place in the final
