The cricket team of Pakistan, along with the chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and the Minister of Interior in Pakistan, Mohsin Naqvi, has arrived at Pakistan House in London today, where the Pakistan High Commission hosted a dinner in honour of the national squad.
Babar Azam and other members of the team attended the dinner, along with new head coach Mike Hesson. Newly added squad member Arafat Minhas also joined the team at the event.
Babar’s presence at the dinner also appeared to clarify recent reports about concerns over his health, with the former Pakistan captain seen alongside his teammates.
Chairman PCB Mohsin Naqvi and former Pakistan batsman Zaheer Abbas, widely known as the “Asian Bradman”, were also among those attending the dinner.
The journalists asked questions about the Pakistan cricket team, but Mohsin Naqvi declined to comment on any of them.
The interior minister was approached by reporters in London and faced questions about the cricket team as well as President Asif Ali Zardari’s visit to the UK.
Moshin Naqvi told journalists that he had come only to meet people and could not answer their questions, adding that he was running late.
He shook hands with several journalists and posed for photographs before leaving without responding to further questions.
The Pakistan team’s appearance at Pakistan House comes as the squad prepares for its upcoming international events, with the new coaching setup under Mike Hesson beginning its work with the players.
