Pakistan demands release of women Kashmiri leaders

An Indian special court has sentenced a woman Kashmiri leader, Asiya Andrabi, to life imprisonment. According to the media reports, two other Kashmiri women leaders, including Fehmeeda Sofi and Nahida Nasreen, received 30 years in prison according to the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act (UAPA).

At the same time, Pakistan condemned this illegal act of the Indian state against the human rights activists and leaders in Indian Occupied Kashmir (IIOJK).   

Pakistan on Thursday urged India to immediately release the women Kashmiri leaders and said that Modi is a fascist and an illegal prime minister of India.

Pakistan also said that the cases against women Kashmiri leaders are politically motivated and completely illegal.

Pakistan condemns the verdicts

Foreign Office spokesperson, Tahir Andrabi, during a weekly briefing in Islamabad, said that Pakistan condemned the verdicts against women Kashmiri leaders and firmly stands with all the human rights activists, including women and children in Indian Occupied Kashmir.

Tahir Andrabi also confirmed that several Kashmiri activists and women Kashmiri leaders are in multiple jails in India for just raising their voice for the rights of the Kashmiri people.

The Foreign Office spokesperson also said that a prominent figure of Kashmir and a great Kashmiri leader, Syed Ali Shah Geelani died in the custody of coward Indian army.

Closure of Jamia Masjid Srinagar

Pakistan also condemned the closure of Jamia Masjid Srinagar, as the Foreign Office spokesperson, Tahir Andrabi, said that not allowing worshipers to pray in mosques is an attack on religious freedom.

Pakistan demands immediate release of women Kashmiri leaders

It is pertinent to mention that Pakistan demanded the immediate release of women Kashmiri leaders, including Asiya Andrabi, Fehmeeda Sofi and Nahida Nasreen. Asiya Andrabi is a Kashmiri leader and human rights activist. She is a strong voice for the Kashmiri people, particularly women in Kashmir.
