Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) has confirmed that it will be a part of a tri-nation One Day International (ODI) series involving Pakistan and England, which will be hosted in Pakistan later this year.
Sources claim that the series will have an October and November schedule, and that plans are now in the concrete stage.
England had already accepted to be involved and Sri Lanka has now officially confirmed that it will be participating in the upcoming tri-series in Pakistan.
The detailed schedule of the series should be completed in the near future.
Besides the ODI series, Sri Lanka will also play three Twenty20 International games on their tour.
Pakistan and Sri Lanka are also set to play a two match series of Test matches as part of the Future Tours Programme that will also be hosted in Pakistan.
Meanwhile, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced the Team of the Tournament in Pakistan Super League (PSL) Season 11, with the captain of the team being Babar Azam.
Babar was acknowledged to have had an extraordinary batting form and leadership during the season, playing a key role towards leading his team to the title.
He was one of the most prolific run-scorers in the tournament and was a regular performer.
The PSL 11 Team of the Tournament has several standout players like Fakhar Zaman, Shan Masood, Shadab Khan, Shaheen Afridi, and Hasan Nawaz among others which reflect good performances in batting, bowling and all-round departments.
Peshawar Zalmi won the title of the PSL 11, and claimed their second title.
They won the match by five wickets, in the final they played at Gaddafi Stadium and they defeated Hyderabad Kingsmen after successfully chasing a target of 130 runs.
Aaron Hardy’s unbeaten 56 and Abdul Samad’s 48 were crucial in sealing the victory, despite early setbacks in the chase.
