Pakistan has extended its ban on Indian civilian and military aircraft from using its airspace for another month, until July 24, according to a Notice to Airmen (NOTAM) issued by the Pakistan Airports Authority (PAA) on Wednesday.
According to reports, the government has once again extended the restriction on Indian aircraft using Pakistani airspace.
In a Notice to Air Missions (NOTAM) issued by PAA, it was stated that the ban on Indian aircraft, both civilian and military, will remain in effect from 5:50 PM on June 16 until 4:59 AM on July 24.
The NOTAM stated that aircraft leased by Indian airlines, as well as those owned or operated by Indian individuals, will also be subject to the ban.
It should be noted that Pakistan has closed its airspace to Indian aircraft since April 23, 2025. The closure has caused Indian airlines losses amounting to billions of rupees.
The two countries have kept their airspace closed to each other’s carriers since late April 2025, following heightened tensions after a deadly attack in the Pahalgam area of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).
Meanwhile, the Air India Group has reported losses exceeding $2 billion in the 2025–26 fiscal year, according to the annual report of Singapore Airlines.
