Experts say a fresh rise in global crude has lifted both ex refinery and ex depot benchmarks.
At the refinery gate, petrol is expected to move up by Rs 1.97 to Rs 162.90 per litre.
High speed diesel is likely to climb by Rs 2.48 to Rs 175.13.
Similarly, kerosene may see the sharpest jump, up Rs 4.66 to Rs 156.27.
Light diesel oil is projected to edge up by Rs 1.76 to Rs 143.39.
These adjustments would pass through to consumers starting from early October.

Petrol’s ex depot price is forecast to rise from Rs 264.61 to Rs 266.58.
Additionally, diesel is set to move from Rs 272.77 to Rs 275.25.
Kerosene is projected to climb from Rs 179.96 to Rs 184.61.
Light diesel oil is expected to reach Rs 165.18 from Rs 163.42.
Officials will review these projections before issuing the new schedule that takes effect at the start of the pricing period.
Higher energy costs will pressure households, transport, and inflation
If approved, the increases will add to monthly expenses for families already coping with high inflation, steeper electricity bills, and rising food prices.
Transport and logistics costs typically adjust quickly to fuel changes, which can push up fares and freight rates.
Kerosene is widely used by lower income and rural households, so the larger increase in its price may hit the most vulnerable.
Industry and agriculture could also face higher input costs.
The government reviews fuel prices twice a month to maintain local fuel prices consistent with global markets.
