Pakistan Hungary economic partnership grows stronger

The Hungarian Ambassador to Pakistan, Zoltán Varga-Haszonits, made a visit to the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) to engage with President Atif Ikram Sheikh.

The meeting also included the participation of FPCCI Vice Presidents Tariq Jadoon, Mr. Muhammad Raziq, Capital Office Chairman Karim Aziz Malik, Mr. Zahid Maqbool, Mr. Rashid Humayion, Mr. Badar Haroon, Mr. Dost Ali Jan, Mr. Asif Javed, Ms. Aliya Agha, Ms. Rabia Raheel, and Ms. Ayesha Khan.

The discussions were centered on enhancing bilateral trade, investment, and industrial collaboration between Pakistan and Hungary.

Both parties deliberated on increasing the existing trade volume and facilitating the exchange of business delegations.

Pakistan Hungary economic joint ventures

Exploratory discussions were conducted regarding potential joint venture initiatives. President Atif Ikram Sheikh underscored the importance of expanding Pakistan Hungary economic cooperation in Agricultural Technology, Food Processing, Pharmaceuticals, and IT.

He pointed out that Pakistan is providing a “One-Window” facility along with a conducive environment for foreign investors. He specifically encouraged Hungarian companies to investigate opportunities in Energy and Infrastructure, as well as Auto Parts Manufacturing.

He also invited Hungarian investors to capitalize on the extensive prospects available within Pakistan’s industrial centers.

Furthermore, Atif Ikram Sheikh, President of FPCCI, stated that there is a necessity for effective and pragmatic measures to enhance economic collaboration.

Organizing B2B meetings and joint business forums will introduce a new dimension to our bilateral trade relations.

Ambassador Zoltán Varga-Haszonits reiterated Hungary’s eagerness to strengthen its economic connections with Pakistan.

He remarked that Hungarian companies have specialized knowledge in Modern Agricultural Machinery, Water Management, and Healthcare Technology.

The Ambassador pledged complete support for fostering investment and indicated that the economic partnership between the two countries is poised to enter a new phase of development.
