The 10th edition of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup begins tomorrow and is set to be a one in a life time experience featuring best of the cricketing talent in the world.
Hosted throughout India and Sri Lanka, 20 sides will clash for the coveted trophy with the hope that each side has finished with some mark to make on the game of cricket.
Initial Matches
The opening day consists of three big fixtures. Pakistan will battle the Netherlands in Colombo and India will face the United States.
The West Indies will be battling Scotland. All these three matches will set a thrilling tone for the tournament.
Location
Matches will be held in eight venues. In India stadiums are Ahmedabad (Narendra Modi Stadium), Kolkata (Eden Gardens), Delhi (Arun Jaitley Stadium), Mumbai (Wankhede Stadium) and Chennai (M.A. Chidambaram Stadium).
Sri Lanka will be hosts in the games at the R. Premadasa Stadium and SSC Cricket Ground in Colombo and Pallekele Cricket Stadium, Kandy.
The final of the tournament is scheduled for March 8, the venue has yet to be decided but will either be Colombo or Ahmedabad.
Tournament Format
Twenty teams are divided into four groups and play in the first stage for at least four games. The top two from each of the groups advance to the Super 8 stage to make two groups of 4 teams each.
From each group of Super 8, top two move to the semi-final then grand final. The total number of matches in the tournament shall be 55.

Group B: Australia, Sri Lanka, Ireland, Zimbabwe, Oman
Group C: England, West Indies, Scotland, Nepal, Italy
Group D: New Zealand, South Africa, Afghanistan, Canada, UAE
Pakistani Players to Watch
Bowlers: Mohammad Nawaz is one of the prime bowlers of Pakistan who has 18 wickets in 10 games with 6.18 economy rate and strike rate of 11.
Mystery spinner Abrar Ahmed has 15 wickets in nine games over an economy rate of 5.97. Recently he has provided a lot of breakthrough deliveries in the middle overs.
Batters: Saim Ayub has a reputation of being an explosive batsman who has scored 267 runs in 10 matches with a strike rate of 136.22.
Captain Salman Agha, imparts the power and calming finishing ability scoring 260 runs in 10 matches with a very impressive strike rate of 166.66.
Commentary Line-Up
Fans can enjoy expert commentary from legends such as Ravi Shastri, Nasser Hussain, Ian Smith and Ian Bishop.
Former players such as Aaron Finch, Dinesh Karthik, Kumar Sangakkara and Angelo Mathews will also provide insights for all the 55 matches.
