Pakistan, Iran explore new opportunities to promote cricket

Pakistan and Iran have agreed to strengthen cricket cooperation following a visit by a delegation from the Iran Cricket Association to the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) headquarters and Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.

During the visit, officials from the PCB and the Iran Cricket Association held important discussions on the promotion of cricket and expanding cooperation between the two countries. The Iranian delegation also visited Gaddafi Stadium, the Cricket Museum and the National Cricket Academy, where they reviewed the modern training and development facilities available.

According to the PCB, the delegation met with Chief Operating Officer Sameer Ahmed Syed and Pakistan Super League (PSL) Chief Executive Officer Salman Naseer. During the meetings, both sides agreed that Pakistani coaches would provide training to Iran’s junior and senior cricket teams. The two sides also agreed to explore new opportunities for cricket development, technical cooperation and further strengthening their cricketing ties in the future.
