Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Naveed Ashraf has stated that, in the event of a Marka-i-Haq conflict with India, the Pakistan Navy was fully prepared to target the Indian aircraft carrier Vikrant, and added that any aggression against Pakistan’s naval interests would be met with a decisive response.
He expressed this while addressing a grand ceremony held to induct the second PNS Khaibar into the Pakistan Navy fleet. The event was attended by Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Naveed Ashraf. Pakistan Navy fleet is equipped with the latest platforms and advanced technologies.
On this occasion, Admiral Naveed Ashraf stated that the modern platforms and technologies of the Pakistan Navy are capable of targeting the enemy’s critical infrastructure and naval assets.
The Naval Chief further said that Pakistan is located along some of the world’s most important energy sea routes, where maritime security is a top priority. He emphasised that a strong naval force is essential to protect national interests and ensure the security of maritime trade routes.
He added that, in the event of ‘Marka-i-Haq, the Pakistan Navy is fully prepared to counter threats, including the capability to target adversarial aircraft carriers such as INS Vikrant and that any aggression against Pakistan’s maritime interests would be met with a strong and appropriate response.
He further said that PNS Khaibar and the future Hangor-class submarines will prove to be a formidable shield for the country’s naval defence. The Naval Chief reiterated the Pakistan Navy’s commitment to defending maritime borders and protecting sovereign waters.
