Pakistan Shaheens defeated Bangladesh A in a super over in Doha to win the Asia Cup Rising Stars 2025 title, completing a brilliant comeback after posting a modest total.

Chasing 126 for victory, Bangladesh A collapsed from a steady start to losing wickets regularly against tight and disciplined bowling. The Shaheens’ attack has kept the scoring rate in check and constantly built pressure by landing balls in the right area.

However, in another match Pakistan defeated Zimbabwe by 69 runs in the 4th match of the Tri-Nation’s series by performing equally good with the ball and bat.

The Asia Cup Rising Stars final between Pakistan Shaheens and Bangladesh went down to a super over.

Bangaldesh A gave Pakistan a target of 7 runs which Pakistan Shaheen’s chased easily in 4 balls.

However in the match, Batting first, Pakistan Shaheens were bowled out for 125 but a few key contributions kept Pakistan in the game.

Saad Masood played the most important hand, scoring 38 off 26 balls with three fours and three sixes to lift the side from early trouble.

Arafat Minhas added a steady 25 off 23, while opener Maaz Sadaqat chipped in with 23 off 18.

In the chase, Bangladesh A looked under pressure from the start. The Shaheens’ bowlers kept a tight line, built pressure with dot balls and struck at regular intervals.

With this victory, Pakistan Shaheens not only lifted the Asia Cup Rising Stars trophy but also showed the critics who claimed Pakistan cricket has no excitement left.
