Pakistan signs MoU to explore stablecoin payments

PM and Field Marshal Asim Munir overlook the MoU signing ceremony regarding stablecoin payments

Pakistan has signed an agreement with a firm connected to World Liberty Financial to explore using World Liberty’s stablecoin for cross-border payments.

The MoU was signed by Ministry of Finance with SC Financial Technologies LLC, a firm linked to World Liberty Financial.

Finance Minister and SC Financial Technologies CEO signed the agreement. The ceremony was also attended by Field Marshal Asim Munir.

SC Financial Technologies’ delegation also met with Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif.

The agreement focuses on new digital payment systems. It also explores using the stablecoin USD1 for cross-border payments.
