Pakistan Single Window (PSW) has integrated its platform with the National Database and Registration Authority’s (NADRA) Pak ID mobile app, enabling users to complete biometric verification from home using their smartphones.
Under the new facility, Pakistan Single Window users will no longer need to visit NADRA e-Sahulat centres to complete biometric verification for subscription, subscription renewal or profile updates.
Previously, biometric verification was mandatory for Pakistan Single Window services, requiring users to visit a NADRA e-Sahulat centre in person. Following the integration with the Pak ID mobile app, eligible users can now complete the verification process online, subject to NADRA’s prescribed requirements.
Overseas Pakistanis expected to benefit
The new facility is expected to particularly benefit overseas Pakistanis involved in business activities in Pakistan. Eligible overseas users will be able to complete their Pakistan Single Window biometric verification remotely through the Pak ID app, potentially reducing the need to travel to Pakistan for this purpose.
During the implementation phase, both biometric verification methods will remain available for users’ convenience. Users can either complete digital biometric verification through the Pak ID mobile app or continue using the existing method of visiting NADRA e-Sahulat centres.
Pakistan Single Window Chief Executive Officer Syed Aftab Haider said the integration with NADRA’s Pak ID mobile app reflected PSW’s commitment to providing improved services tailored to the needs of users in Pakistan and overseas.
No NADRA visit required for onboarding
He said the introduction of remote biometric verification would eliminate the need to visit NADRA centres during the onboarding process, making the experience more convenient, accessible and user-friendly for Pakistan Single Window users.
According to Pakistan Single Window, the integration will allow the entire subscription process to be completed digitally.
The initiative is part of PSW’s broader efforts to promote the use of digital services, improve accessibility and simplify procedures for businesses.
