Pakistan T20I Squad to Hold Camp in Lahore

Web desk: A camp for Pakistan’s T20I team has been scheduled ahead of the upcoming series against South Africa.

According to details, the national T20I squad will assemble in Lahore for the camp, which will be held from October 16 to 19.

Players selected for the series have already been informed about the arrangements.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) said the team for the white-ball series against South Africa will be announced soon.

The T20I series is set to start on October 28 in Rawalpindi, after which the squad will remain in the city to continue preparations for the matches.

Pakistan-South Africa Test series

The national selection committee has announced an 18-member squad for the two-Test series against South Africa, which is part of the ICC World Test Championship 2025–27.

The series will begin on October 12, and the final playing XI will be decided before the opening Test.

Shan Masood will continue as captain, while Asif Afridi, Faisal Akram, and Rohail Nazir have received their first Test call-ups.

South Africa, the reigning ICC World Test Championship 2023–25 champions, will play the first Test at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium from October 12 to 16, followed by the second Test at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium from October 20 to 24.

After the Test series, both teams will play three T20Is and three ODIs between October 28 and November 8.

The squads for the white-ball matches will be confirmed in the coming days.

Players selected for the Test series are currently training under red-ball head coach Azhar Mahmood and NCA coaches.

The camp will continue until October 8, with players returning from the ACC Men’s T20 Asia Cup joining on October 4.
